About

Here I sit, an old dog, wanting to learn a new trick.

One day I lifted my head to see what’s been going on.
Rockets landing on their legs.
Appliances on desks that “print” objects from plastic and metal.
Robots doing something called parkour.

It’s easy to get distracted.
Easy to look up and realize the world has left you behind while you were busy elsewhere.

I remember wandering hardware stores as a younger version of myself—maybe not a child, but younger than now—collecting anything I could to build something that only a wild imagination could call a robot.
That version of me studied electrical engineering and physics.
That version would have done nearly anything for what’s possible now.
And I think he’d be disappointed in me.

Let’s change that.

I don’t know how to make a YouTube channel.
I don’t know how to build a website.
I don’t know much about mechanical engineering.
But I’m going to build a robot—and document the process.
